Everything You Need to Know

What is this?

A live singing competition on TikTok @TheFranckShow. Singers battle 1-on-1, wins build a streak, and when the show clock hits zero the buying stops — but any singer sponsored at that moment can still come up and battle. The highest recorded streak left standing takes $10,000. Watching is always free — and pace yourself: competitions can run for days (the $10,000 one lasted 14).

How do I join?

In the live, tap the multi-guest icon (the pink & blue avatar) to request a spot on the panel — with your camera ON. That's it — you're in line to battle once your entry is handled.

What does it cost?

Entry is $40 — that's all you need to compete. Pay it yourself (the Pay tab opens Venmo with everything pre-filled) or with 6,000 coins / a Future City gift sent to the host. Everything else on this site is optional.

No $40? Get sponsored.

A sponsor pays your entry for a share of the prize if you win (up to 60% — agreed upfront). No sponsor yet? The Sponsor Panel gives you 1 minute to introduce yourself and sing — win a backer from the audience. Wait in the queue for your panel shot, camera on and ready. One rule: you need a sponsor to compete, and if you lose a battle, you need to be re-sponsored.

How does a battle work?

You sing for 2 minutes. Your opponent sings for 2 minutes. Then the chat fights for 2 minutes — gifts are votes, and most support wins. Winner stays up and their streak grows. Loser drops (an Encore can turn one loss into a best 2-of-3).

Just watching? You're half the show.

The chat decides every battle. Tap your singer's guest box first, then send gifts — gifts are votes, weighted by their coin value (every coin counts toward the total), and your singer gets 20% of the coins directly. Send early: the stream runs 10–15 seconds behind, so last-second gifts can land after the buzzer. Your support also extends the show clock — the crowd literally decides how long the night runs.

Why do the battles matter?

Because the streak is the whole game. Every consecutive win builds it, your best number gets recorded, and after zero — once the last sponsored challenger has taken their shot — the highest record left standing takes the $10,000. Here's the twist: streaks can be stolen — which is exactly why powerups exist.

What are powerups — and why buy one?

One-time purchases that change the game: mics attack (force a battle and take the winner's streak), shields defend, Blackout / Power Swipe / Nuke disrupt, and Encore retries a loss. Your voice wins battles — powerups decide who keeps the crown. They're optional, but your rivals will be armed.

How do I actually win?

The proven path: build quietly and shield early ($60 protects your streak) → strike when it counts (an $80 Golden Mic can steal a bigger streak than yours) → protect the record at the end (a Diamond Shield stops even the Nuke). Learn the moves with the quiz, then ask the coach anything — it knows every rule in the show.

Example: how a night can go

Just an example — meet Maria. She requests a spot. A fan sponsors her $40 at a 50/50 split. She buys a $60 Shield and starts winning — 3 in a row. A rival fires a Golden Mic at her; her Shield eats it. She wins 2 more: record, 5. The clock hits zero, the last sponsored challengers come up — nobody catches her number. $10,000 — $5,000 to Maria, $5,000 to the fan who believed in her for $40. Total spent: $100. That's the game.

The Core of the Show

The Battle, Broken Down

The battle is the main structure of the whole show — everything else, including powerups, builds on top of it. Here's exactly how one works, minute by minute.

Two singers go up

Two sponsored singers take the panel — battles run all show long, one after another. That's all it takes to battle: be sponsored, be in the live, and have your camera ON. No powerups required. There's a list — singers go up in order, so your turn is coming; don't rush it.

2-minute performances

Each singer performs for 2 minutes, one after the other. This is the talent half — win the room here and the next phase gets much easier.

The 2-minute support battle

Chat takes over: gifts are votes, weighted by their coin value — a 5,000-coin gift counts as 5,000, and every coin matters. The host announces which gifts count for each team (Blue vs Red — full gift menus below). Most total support when the clock ends wins. A tie adds 30 seconds of overtime.

What viewers need to know

Tap your singer's guest box first so your gift counts for them (they also receive 20% of the coins). Send early — the stream runs 10–15 seconds behind, and last-second gifts can land after the buzzer. Your gifts also extend the show clock.

After the buzzer

Winner stays up — streak +1, and if it beats their best, the record updates. Loser drops and must be re-sponsored to battle again ($40, or earn it at the Sponsor Panel). One escape: an Encore turns the loss into a best 2-of-3 — unless the battle came from a Diamond Mic, or the winner blocks the Encore with a Shield.

Where powerups come in

The battle is the engine — powerups are how you bend it. Mics force battles and steal streaks. Shields refuse them. Encores replay them. Blackouts, Swipes, and Nukes rewrite the board between them. (That's the one other way a battle can start: a Golden or Diamond Mic forces one — the target gets 5 minutes to show up, and a no-show counts as declining, which ends their streak. Mic challenges only activate live: the host confirms them on stream and the 5-minute clock starts at that confirmation — nothing fires while the show is offline.) Straight talk: you can't go far on voice alone — a great singer with no Shield is one $80 Golden Mic away from losing everything they built. Learn the arsenal.

🏁

When the clock hits zero

The powerup shop closes — nothing new can be bought, but everything you're already holding still works. Anyone sponsored when time expires can still come up and battle: the prime target is the streak holder — beat the number on the board and the crown moves. If the streak holder isn't up, challengers battle other singers and keep climbing. But be sure of your voice: lose after zero and you're out — there's no re-sponsoring once the clock is done. The crown isn't safe until the last sponsored challenger has taken their shot.

Winner stays up. Loser drops.
After both singers finish their acts, the host TheFranckShow announces which gifts support Blue Team and which support Red Team. The lists below are the standard setup — always confirm with the host before sending. Both teams have identical gift ladders (1 to 34,000 coins), so every battle is a fair fight — pick your gift by budget, from a 1-coin tap to the 34,000-coin heavy hitters.

Before sending gifts, tap on the guest box of the singer you're supporting — that's how they receive the coins. Singers get 20% of the coins sent to them directly.

Winner Stays Up

Whoever gets the most support when the 2-minute battle ends WINS and stays up. The loser drops down — unless they have a powerup like Encore to run it back.

Stream Delay: 10–15 Sec

There's a 10–15 second delay on the stream. Send your gifts early — playing upfront is advised. Last-second snipes are at your own risk.

FAQ

Questions, Answered

What happens if a battle ties?
An overtime clock of 30 seconds is added. Keep the support coming until someone takes the lead.
I'm sponsored but I have to step away — what happens?
Sponsored singers are expected to be in the live and ready to perform — someone put real money on you. If you genuinely can't perform right then, tell the host and your sponsor; communication keeps your spot. Leave without notice and you can lose your sponsorship — the sponsor is then free to put that entry behind another singer. Be respectful to the people investing in you.
What if a singer leaves mid-show?
Leaving on your own counts as a loss. If you're winning and decide to leave, your highest recorded streak is saved.
What happens to my streak if I switch sponsors?
Your highest recorded streak is safe — getting a new sponsor never erases it. You simply start a fresh streak under the new sponsor. If that new streak passes your old best, your record updates to the new number.
Can a singer decline a battle?
No. Declining a challenge means you lose your streak. The only way to deny a challenge is a defense that was already up — a Shield stops a Tier 1 attack (except Blackout and Power Swipe), and only a Diamond Shield stops a Diamond Mic or Nuke.
Are entry fees or powerups refundable?
Entry fees and powerups are nonrefundable. One exception: if the singer you sponsored never shows up, the entry is refunded — only if it was sent through Venmo. Gifts and coins are nonrefundable no matter what, so send responsibly.
Can I sponsor more than one singer?
Yes — you can sponsor multiple singers. Each singer generally has one sponsor, but two people can go half-and-half to split entry and powerup costs, as long as it's discussed between the sponsors and their singer.
Does the winner keep the full $10,000?
Only if they paid their own entry fee, or their sponsor agrees to give them 100%. Otherwise the split is whatever was agreed when the sponsorship was made.
Can I sponsor myself?
Yes. Pay your own $40 entry and you keep 100% of the prize if you win.
How long does a show last?
Typically 2 days or less. Bigger prizes run longer — our last $10,000 singing competition ran 14 days.
How do I request to join?
Tap the multi-guest option on the live — it's the pink & blue half-body avatar icon. Then send your $40 entry to Venmo to lock in your spot.
Can I sponsor the prize pool?
Yes — that's the Prize Sponsor program on the Sponsors tab. Add $100 or more to the prize pool via Venmo and your TikTok name gets linked on the Sponsor Wall for every visitor to see, plus an on-stream shoutout from the host. Tiers: Gold $100+ — your name on the wall. Platinum $250+ — name linked to your TikTok, larger placement. Diamond $500+ — link your business, storefront, or brand (host-approved), top of the wall, pinned all season, announced on stream. Every dollar goes straight into the crown.
Can international singers join?
Yes — as long as you're 18+ and have PayPal. Prize money is paid out via PayPal or Venmo only (card payments work worldwide for entry, but Venmo is US-only, so international winners are paid through PayPal). If you don't have PayPal or Venmo to receive winnings, don't compete — there's no other payout method.
Is there an age requirement?
Yes — 18 or older, per TikTok guidelines. That goes for competing and supporting.
Can I pay my entry with coins or gifts?
Yes — instead of the $40 Venmo entry, you can send a Future City gift or 6,000 coins. But it must go to the host only: gifts sent to contestants do not count as entry.
Can I buy my entry during a battle?
No. Entry cannot be purchased during an active battle — wait until the battle ends, then send your entry.
When can powerups be bought?
Any time during the show.
What happens when nobody is sponsored?
The show clock pauses and we run the Sponsor Panel: unsponsored singers come up one at a time and get 1 minute each — a quick introduction, then show your voice. Sponsors in the audience pick who they want to back ($40 entry, up to 60% split). Land a sponsor and you're in the battle rotation. There's also a wild card here: the host can hit the Golden Buzzer for the one unsponsored singer they believe in most — that singer is in on the spot and keeps 100% of the prize if they win.
What's the Golden Buzzer?
The Golden Buzzer is the host's personal pick. During a Sponsor Panel, the host can hit it for one unsponsored singer — whoever the host believes in most — and it does two things: that singer goes straight into the battle rotation without needing a $40 sponsor, and because no sponsor is taking a cut, they keep 100% of the $10,000 if they win. It's rare, and it's the host's call alone — you can't buy it or request it, you earn it by making the host a believer. Note: this is not the Golden Mic ($80 powerup that forces a streak battle) — the Golden Buzzer is a free gift only the host can give.
How exactly does the Diamond Shield work against every powerup?
Simple version: the Diamond Shield has 2 blocks, and they only work on Tier 1 attacks — each Golden Mic (or an Encore you choose to deny) spends one. Diamond Mic and Nuke are different: the shield stops one of them — you're safe from that attack — but the hit breaks the whole shield, unused blocks and all. Gone when both blocks are spent or a Diamond Mic / Nuke breaks it; then you can buy another. What it does NOT stop: Blackout and Power Swipe slip past it — but they can never remove or steal the Diamond Shield itself (diamond tier is untouchable). If you also hold a regular Shield, the regular Shield absorbs attacks first. And yes — the blocks can be sieged: the 3rd Golden Mic in a row gets through.
Why is the timer paused right now?
The show clock is the show's life bar — and it only burns while someone is actually competing for it. No sponsored singer up = clock frozen. That's by design: paused time is Sponsor Panel time, when unsponsored singers get their 1-minute shot to earn a backer. The moment a sponsored singer is back on the panel, the clock runs again. So if you see it paused: someone's about to sing for a sponsorship — that's your cue to invest.
I've entered (or requested) — when do I actually battle?
Be patient — there's a list. Paid and sponsored singers go up in order, and battles run one at a time all show long. Not sponsored yet? Wait in the queue — when the Sponsor Panel runs, you'll get your 1-minute shot at earning a backer. Keep your camera ON and stay ready. And plan for the long game: competitions can run for days — our $10,000 show lasted 14 days. Nobody rushes the crown.
Do I have to keep battling the whole show?
No. Your highest streak is recorded the moment you set it — step down whenever you want and that number stays on the books. You only keep battling to push it higher (or for the love of the game). One exception: a Golden Mic or Diamond Mic can challenge a resting record — you'll have 5 minutes to come back and defend it — and challenges only activate while the show is live, confirmed by the host on stream, so there are no off-hours snipes. Win the defense and your record stands and you're back up with it; lose or no-show, and the challenger takes your recorded streak. Resting is legal — it just isn't a bunker.
I stepped down with a streak — can I come back and keep building the same one?
Yes — anytime, until you lose. Stepping down doesn't end your streak. You can come back up whenever you want and keep building the same live streak, right where you left off — a paused streak isn't frozen for good, it's just waiting on you. That stays true until the moment you lose a battle: at that point the live streak ends and your highest recorded number stays locked where it peaked (a loss never lowers your record). The one thing that can interrupt a rest is a Golden Mic or Diamond Mic challenging your resting record — then you've got 5 minutes to come back and defend it (challenges only activate while the show is live — the host confirms on stream, no off-hours snipes).
If I hold the top streak, does a challenger have to battle me to beat it?
No. Nobody has to face you directly to pass your number — anyone can overtake the top streak through their own regular battles, just by building their own streak past yours. You can be knocked off the crown without ever being challenged. That's why the lead is active, not passive: the smart play is to defend. If you're the leader (or backing them), watch the singers climbing behind you and stop them before they reach your number — drop a Nuke named for your singer (they're spared while every climber resets to 0), or slow a challenger who's getting close with a Power Swipe or Blackout — mics can't touch them: a Golden or Diamond Mic can only challenge the current streak holder. A recorded high isn't safe just because it's high — keep the field behind you knocked down.
Do I need a new sponsor after losing a battle?
Yes. A loss ends your sponsorship — to battle again you must be re-sponsored: a new $40 sponsorship, a self-sponsor, or earn one at the Sponsor Panel (1 minute — intro and sing). An Encore avoids this entirely by turning the loss into a best 2-of-3. Re-sponsoring starts a fresh streak; your recorded high stays on the books.
How long do I have to battle after getting sponsored?
24 hours. Once you're sponsored, you have 24 hours to come up and battle. If you don't take the panel within that window, the sponsorship is forfeited and you'll need to be re-sponsored to compete. Don't sit on it — get in the queue.
What happens when the timer hits zero?
The powerup shop closes — no new purchases — but powerups you already hold still work. Anyone sponsored when time expires can still come up and battle, and the prime target is the streak holder: beat the recorded high and the crown changes hands. If the streak holder isn't up, challengers battle other singers to keep climbing. One catch — lose after zero and you're eliminated, because there's no re-sponsoring once the clock is done. The $10,000 goes to the record left standing when the last sponsored challenger has had their shot.
Can I buy powerups while the timer is paused?
Yes. The powerup shop is open the entire show — pauses included. You can buy at any moment, whenever you want. The only time it closes is when the clock hits zero.
I already have a streak and I steal one with a mic — do they add together?
No — streaks never stack. Win a Golden or Diamond Mic battle and you take the streak holder's number as-is; your own current streak is replaced, not added. On 2 wins, steal a 6? You're on 6, not 8 — and the mic win itself doesn't add +1. You build from the taken number with your next battles. If the taken streak beats your recorded high, it becomes your new record.
Can I buy a powerup for a singer I'm not sponsoring?
Yes — anyone can arm any singer. You don't need to be their sponsor (or anyone's sponsor). Put the singer's name in the Venmo note — "Golden Mic for Fiaa" — or tell the host when sending coins. Then either you call the play or the singer does: say which when you buy. Normal rules apply from there: time-stamped, standard hold windows, host confirms on stream.
Are purchases time-stamped? Who goes first if two people buy at once?
Yes — every purchase is time-stamped, and priority goes to whoever sent the money first. If two people fire attacks at the same target, buy the same limited powerup, or any other purchase conflict comes up, the earlier payment wins and the later one queues behind it or gets refunded per the refund policy.
How long can I hold a powerup before using it?
Attack powerups expire if you sit on them: Golden Mic — 2 rounds, Power Swipe & Blackout — 3 rounds, Diamond Mic — 5 rounds, and the Nuke fires the moment it's bought. Defense and comebacks never expire: Shields, Diamond Shields, and Encores can be held all show. Swiped powerups restart their clock for the new owner. Everything still disappears when the show ends.
Do unused powerups carry over to the next show?
No. Unused powerups expire when the show ends — not when the clock hits zero. Anything you're holding still works after zero; it only vanishes once the last sponsored challenger has taken their shot and the show is over.

Tier 1 Powerups

The Arsenal

From $60

Powerups are the weapons of the Singing Battle — one-time purchases that attack streaks, block attacks, steal items, or save you from a loss. Your voice wins battles; powerups decide who keeps the crown. Full breakdown at the bottom of this page.

Golden Mic powerup art

Golden Mic

 • Must be used within 2 rounds.
 • Battle the top streak holder.
 • Beat them and you take their streak.
 • If they have a shield, it is broken.
 • If they don't, they must battle in 5 minutes.
 • Live-fire only: the challenge activates when the host confirms it on stream — the 5-minute clock starts at confirmation, never while the show is offline.
 • Can even challenge a resting record — stepped-down champions can be called back.

Shield powerup art

Shield

 • Blocks 1 Tier 1 attack — except Blackout and Power Swipe.
 • Can also block a rival's Encore — deny the rerun, your win stands. Your choice; tell the host.
 • Consumed after use — one block per Shield.
 • Hold it all show — shields never expire.

Encore powerup art

Encore

 • If you lose, make it a best 2 out of 3.
 • Cannot be used against a Diamond Mic loss.
 • The winner can block your Encore with a Shield — each Encore needs its own block.
 • Hold as long as you need — it only triggers on a loss.
 • Lose the 2-of-3 and your streak is lost. You can chain another Encore for another rerun, but it can’t revive a lost streak — chaining only matters vs a Golden Mic, where each rerun win keeps your streak from being stolen.

Nuke

 • Destroys all regular shields from every contestant.
 • Dropped FOR a singer (name them when you buy): every streak and recorded high resets — except theirs.
 • Dropped with no name: every streak and recorded high resets. No exceptions.
 • Either way, a Diamond Shield stops it — streak, record, and items survive — but the hit breaks the shield.
 • Fires the moment it's purchased — you can't hold it.
 • 2-minute cooldown after it drops — no one can buy another Nuke until it clears, which gives anyone whose Diamond Shield broke a window to buy a fresh one.
 • Feeds the clock: +20 minutes the moment it drops — every $10 sent adds a minute, so there are no last-second Nuke snipes; the blast itself buys the field time to answer.

Diamond Shield powerup art

Diamond Shield

 • 2 blocks vs Tier 1 attacks — each Golden Mic (or an Encore you choose to deny) spends one.
 • Diamond Mic or Nuke? Stopped once — but the hit breaks the whole shield, unused blocks and all. You're safe from that one attack; the shield is gone.
 • Blackout & Power Swipe slip past it — but they can never remove or steal it. Diamond tier is untouchable.
 • Holding a regular Shield too? The regular Shield absorbs attacks first.
 • It can be sieged: the 3rd Golden Mic in a row gets through the 2 attack blocks ($240 total).
 • Never expires. Gone when both blocks are spent or a Diamond Mic / Nuke breaks it — then you can buy another. After a Nuke, the 2-minute Nuke cooldown is your window to rebuy before another one can drop.

Diamond Mic or Nuke vs Diamond Shield: stopped once, but the hit breaks the shield
Diamond Mic bypasses regular Shields — only a Diamond Shield blocks it, and no Encore after a loss
Nuke fires the moment it's purchased — it can't be held
No hoarding attacks: Golden Mic expires in 2 rounds, Power Swipe & Blackout in 3, Diamond Mic in 5
Shields, Diamond Shields & Encores never expire — hold them all show
"Max 1 at a time" means no stockpiling — use your diamond powerup, then you're free to buy another
The shop is always open — powerups can be bought at any moment of the show, even while the clock is paused. It only closes when the clock hits zero
Every purchase is time-stamped — conflicts go to whoever sent the money first
Defense must be up BEFORE an attack — you can't buy a counter after a mic fires

What Beats What

How to read the arrows — every row runs attack ➔ defense, and each verb always means the same thing: Blocked by = the defense stops that attack. Bypasses = the defense can't stop it. Destroys = the attack removes the defense itself.

Remember: a regular Shield blocks 1 Tier 1 attack — but Blackout and Power Swipe bypass every shield (they still can never remove or steal the Diamond Shield itself — diamond tier is untouchable). The Nuke destroys regular Shields and erases every streak AND recorded high — except a singer named at purchase — and fires the moment it's purchased; only a Diamond Shield blocks it, and that hit breaks the whole shield. The Diamond Mic bypasses regular Shields — only a Diamond Shield blocks it (and breaks) — and a Diamond Mic loss can't be Encored. A Diamond Shield can also be sieged: the 3rd Golden Mic in a row gets through its 2 blocks. And every defense must be up before the attack — you can't buy a counter once an attack has landed.

The Deep Dive

What Are Powerups, Really?

What exactly is a powerup?
A powerup is a one-time game move you purchase during the show — announced and applied by the host the moment your payment lands. They come in three flavors: attacks that force battles and steal streaks (Golden Mic, Diamond Mic), defenses that block those attacks (Shield, Diamond Shield), and disruption that changes the board itself (Blackout strips arsenals, Power Swipe steals items, Nuke resets every streak and recorded high except a singer named at purchase, Encore reruns a lost battle). They're entertainment features inside the show — no cash value outside it, and everything unused disappears when the show ends.
Why would I buy one?
Because singing alone doesn't win the $10,000 — the crown goes to the highest recorded streak, and streaks can be attacked, stolen, and erased. You buy powerups for four reasons: to take the crown (a $80 Golden Mic can steal a streak someone spent all night building), to protect what you've built (a $60 Shield turns away attackers; a Diamond Shield stops even the Nuke), to come back from a loss (an Encore turns one defeat into best 2-of-3), or to flip the whole board when you're behind (the Nuke resets everyone — streaks and records — to zero, except the singer you name when you buy it). Every dollar buys leverage over the outcome.
Do I HAVE to buy powerups to compete?
No. Entry is $40 and a great voice with strong chat support can win battles all night without a single powerup. But understand the battlefield: rivals WILL be armed, and an unshielded streak holder is the softest target in the show. Think of powerups like insurance and ammunition — optional, until the night they decide everything. Every purchase is voluntary support of the performers and the show (see the Terms in the footer).
What's the smart amount to spend?
Honest math: the prize is $10,000. A focused loadout — entry ($40) + Shield ($60) + one crown attempt (Golden Mic $80) — runs $180 for a real shot at $10,000. The full arsenal costs ~$900, which is a bold way to chase a $10,000 prize — don't do that. Pick weapons that match your position: defending a streak? Shields. Chasing one? Mics. Behind with nothing to lose? That's Nuke territory. Ask the Strategy Coach "what should I buy" with your situation and it'll build your loadout.
How does buying actually work?
Tap Buy · Venmo on any powerup card above — your Venmo opens with the exact price and item name pre-filled — or send the coin equivalent as gifts to the host in the live. Every purchase is time-stamped (first money wins conflicts), confirmed by the host on stream, and follows the hold windows in the Limits section. And yes — anyone can buy a powerup for any singer (name them in the note); the buyer directs its use or hands that call to the singer. Diamond tier is max 1 at a time — use it, then you can buy another.

The Clock Runs on Support

The show timer is not fixed. Every dollar and every coin sent during the show adds time to the clock — entry fees, sponsorships, powerup purchases, prize boosts, gifts: it ALL counts, at $10 = +1 minute. When it hits zero the shop closes and the final challengers come up, and the crown is decided once the last sponsored singer has taken their shot. The timer pauses when no sponsored singer is on the panel.
